World Power, nintendo
Back in 1990, a popular magazine known as Nintendo Power was pretty much the definitive publication for video game news. Inside the pages, players would find insider info, reviews, and game walk-throughs, all for one low monthly or annual fee. The magazine’s staff was a dedicated and optimistic team of gamers, writers and artists. But one week before their January, 1990 issue was completed, every single one of them died on a fatal roller coaster adventure.
Stricken with regret, Nintendo panicked. What would gamers do without Nintendo Power in their mailboxes? Surely there would be riots. With little time to spare, and not enough resources to regroup a new team in time for the next issue, Nintendo contacted us here at the-minusworld.com to complete the issue. Were we the right team for the job? Absolutely not. But we complied to their request and completed the magazine.
These pages were never publicly released and only one actual copy remains. So from our murky vaults of regret, we bring to you The Lost Pages of Nintendo Power magazine…
