Every four years, we have a choice. A choice that determines the direction we as a country move. A choice that affects not only our country, but each and every country across the world. A choice now between two men, one of which will lead us as President of the United States of America. However, we’re not the only ones preparing to elect a new president. All across the Mushroom Kingdom patriotic citizens are intent to vote on the issues that matter to them: Warp Pipe reform, gold coin taxes, the threat of Koopa extremists, and bringing the Toad troops home.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Minus World presents our “October Surprise”: Thwomp the Vote ‘08!

From now until November 4th when you, the people, will have the chance to vote for your candidate at Minus World Election HQ, we will be your #1 source of video game election news. Expect nothing but the most hard-hitting, unbiased reports on the candidates and their policies from our award-winning news team, starting right now with our exclusive coverage of last night’s first debate between Mario and Luigi.

As the debate got underway at Dusty Dune University, a palpable excitement was in the air. This was, after all, the very first time both Mario and Luigi would debate in person and take that first big hop towards The Mushroom House. The candidates fielded various questions from the moderator, Kranky Kong, who grilled them on such diverse topics as drilling for oil at Yoshi’s Island, the use of fire flowers as an alternative energy source, and revitalizing the Mushroom Kingdom’s foundering coin market.

Mario strongly criticized Luigi’s stance that the Mushroom Kingdom should unequivocally meet with Ganondorf without preconditions, saying, “What Luigi doesn’t seem to understand that if without precondition you sit down across the table from someone who has called Hyrule a ’stinking corpse,’ and wants to destroy that country and wipe it off the map, you legitimize those comments.”

Luigi wasted no time in launching a scathing Blue Shell of a retort, admonishing his opponent for past mistakes: “The war on Bowser started in 1985, and at the time when the war started, you said it was going to be quick and easy. You said we knew where the Bullet Bill cannons of mass destruction were. You were wrong. You said that we were going to be greeted as liberators by the Monty Moles. You were wrong. You said that there was no history of violence between Shy Guy and Snifit. And you were wrong.”

Both candidates had solid showings, channeling the spirit of the Hammer Bros. with their determination to forcefully pound their ideas into the hearts and minds of the populace. And with a little over a month left on the Minus World Election Clock, every speech, every ad, every moment counts.

Also make sure to check out our coverage of the Vice Presidential debate. And remember - this is a no-spin warp zone.

I’m going 3rd party this time around… Toad has had some experience out there on the front lines, I think he can get a large percentage of the Vet. vote.

I have a mouth full of firey balls that says Mario will squash Luigi and bang the princes in the O(face)val office.

    Hello,

I am reaching out to see who I can talk to about becoming one of your traffic sources. We are an advertising network with over 180 million monthly uniques and deliver over 5 billion impressions. Our network is made up of publishers, publisher networks, desktop application and search engines. We can target contextually, behaviorally, and by re-targeting. We don’t have contracts and you can test our traffic for as little as $25/day. I work with other sites that share your demographics and have had success capturing sign-ups/registrations as well as delivering high volumes to help with the monetization of banner space.

I look forward to hearing back from whoever handles this and seeing if there is an opportunity for us to work together.

When you analize who Luigi spends his time with, and how he then denies it, it is easy to see that we have to vote Mario…and not elect Luigi the Liar.
